April - Bow River: Very good Nymphing, can be excellent with Streamers and Lures. Maybe a "Blue Wing Olive Hatch" on any given day.

May - Bow River: Same as April, with greater potential for Dries. BWO's and PMD's.

- Minnewanka: Opens May 22nd. Exceptional Streamer fishing for Trophy Lakers.

June - Bow River: Bring out the "Wooliebuggers," Big Nymphs and Spinners, because the water will be coloring up.

- Minnewanka: Great Jigging, Casting Lures and Fly-fishing, with Streamers and Nymphs. Lunker Lakers on the Fly!

July - Bow River: Here come the Bugs! Deliciously Huge; "Golden Stone Flies," mid size "Dk. Brown Stones," followed by, our most impressive, "Green Drake May Flies." Applicable Dries and Nymphs as well as "Woolies" and Spinners, are all on the menu.

- Minnewanka: Same as June, with even more fish to be found shallow. Best chances, on the Fly, are in the Evening.

Aug. - Bow River: "Green Drakes" still, but more variety with Caddis, smaller "Stones" and May Flies. Smorgasbord of applicable Dries, Nymphs, Emergers and Streamers, as well as Spinners, Spoons and even Crank Baits, will fill the bill.

- Minnewanka: Go "Heavy" and Deep. The good news is; the deeper They are, the dumber. Leading up to September, pre-spawn feeding brings on some Great Fishing. Most of the BIG FISH are caught in August.

Sept. - Bow River: A continuing Smorg of assorted May Flies, "Blue Duns, BWOıs and PMDıs" with, some notable "Travelling Sedge" Caddis, also. Continuing, wide array applicable, from Dries to Crank Baits.

- Minnewanka: Banner Fishing! However, the lake closes to Fishing, on Sept. 6th.

Oct. - Bow River: Some excellent Streamer, Nymph and Lure Fishing. Pre Spawn feeding time. Dries intermittent, unfortunately.
