Lake Minnewanka (Lake of The Water Spirits) is a mere
15 minutes from Banff. At 22km (17 miles) in length,
Minnewanka is the largest lake in Banff National Park.
An outstanding array of fishing opportunities can be
found here. With 28 years of guiding experience on the

lake, we are confident we can provide you with an
exceptional experience.

Lake Minnewanka offers a new dimension to fly fishing.
Fly fishing for lunker Lake Trout and jumbo Rockies.
In recent years some exceptional fly fishing opportunities have been revealed. These denizens of the deep can often
be found quite shallow, particularly during the first half
of the summer. Pounding the shore with weighty Streamers
or plying the depths with Nymphs can reveal some
incredible results.

Lake Minnewanka provides excellent fishing for wild fish,
and our clients have caught Lake Trout up to 17kg (40 lbs),
Rockies (Rocky Mountain Whitefish) to 2kg (4.5 lbs), and
occasional Bull, Cutthroat and Brown Trout.

The season for fishing runs May 19th through Sept. 3rd.

We offer 4.5 hour and 6.5 hour trips on the water.
Departing morning, mid day or evenings.

Transport from your accomodations in Banff can be
provided, or you can meet us at the lake.

Our Guides, with the combined experience of in excess of
70 years of guiding expertise, are unrivaled in knowledge
on this magnificent lake.

We actively promote "CPR," Catch, Photograph and
Release. However, anglers are allowed a limit of 2 fish
per license.

Exceptional angling opportunities set amidst spectacular
scenery will make this a truly memorable fishing adventure.

We welcome novice anglers or family groups. We'll make
this an easy, fun trip for one and all.

Wildlife abounds in the area. There may be opportunities to
view bears, bighorn sheep, elk, deer, and eagles.
